GUAYAS
Ecuador's 262 foot Guayas was built in Bilbao Spain in 1977 for the Ecuadorian Naval Superior School in Guayaquil on the River Guayas. One of three barques built by Astilleros y Talleres Celay and named in memory of the first steamship to be built in South America in 1841.  Guayas accommodates 180 people.  She has a 35 foot beam and 14 foot draft, barque rigged with 17,000 square feet of sail.

CALIFORNIAN
The "Official Tall Ship Ambassador for the State Of California" she is 145 feet long with a beam of 27 ft and a draft of 9.5 ft.  With all sails flying she carries 7,000 square feet of sail.

PILGRIM OF NEWPORT
Built in Costa Mesa and berthed in Long Beach, Rainbow Harbor, she measures 118 ft.  Classified as a two masted topsail schooner,  82 passengers can enjoy a day of sailing Southern California waters and islands.

SWIFT OF IPSWICH
A  two masted topsail schooner measuring 70'5" on deck with a beam of 18'3" and a draft of 9 ft she carries 5,166 square feet of sail.

OPEN HOUSE
Tall ships Gloria, Guayas, and Dewaruci docked at Anaheim Landing in the Seal Beach Navel Weapons Base.  A record number of visitors viewed the tall ships docked here and in Long Beach's Shoreline Marina.  The tall ship Kaiwo Maru II was docked in the old Long Beach Navy base due to her 22 ft draft.
